New Japan Pro-wrestling (NJPW) is a Japanese one of the largest pro-wrestling promotions that airs a new episode every week on TV Asahi.  One of its major events is the January 4 Tokyo Dome Show that aired every year in Japan after 1992.

NJPW was established in January 1972 and it was first owned by Yuke till 2012. After that, it was sold to a company. This is one of the largest Japanese wrestling companies that is owned by a card company, Bushiroad, and a minor share of Amuse, Inc.  After that this company brought it to high ranks. History 

New Japan pro-wrestling (NJPW) was founded in January 1972 by Antonio Inoki and it was inspired by the Japan Pro Wrestling Promotion. The first event of NJPW was held in Tokyo in March 1972 with a crowd of Five thousand people. That year, they agreed with a TV company named, Net TV now known as TV Asahi. They launched their event with the name the International Wrestling Grand Prix (IWGP) championship. In 1983, Hulk Hogan became the first champion of IWGP by defeating Inoki. Inoki remained its president till 2005 and it was then sold to a card company in 2012. Now NJPW has built a great viewership across the world and fights many MMA fights along with other wrestling companies.

Now every week new episodes of NJPW come out on the screen on TV Asahi and engage huge traffic across the globe.
